Paris Fashion Week: a collaboration with Not Selling Liquid

Paris Fashion Week: a collaboration with Not Selling Liquid

Over the past few years, we’ve had the chance to step outside the café and bring new ideas into spaces through pop-ups, in and around Amsterdam. In this article, we reflect on some of our pop-up events from global brands to local pioneers. These moments not only brought the Chun Café signature drinks to new places, but also gave us the chance to engage directly with communities who share the same values such as quality, simplicity, and intention. Each event had its own kind of energy and while they were all different, there was always one thing in common: people. Real conversations, new faces, and the chance to share what we do with those who maybe hadn’t walked through our café doors before.

Nike campus

In March 2022, we were invited by Nike Campus to bring a small menu of drinks to their employees. It was a way to encourage moments of pause, even in high-performance spaces. As a brand, Nike is rooted in movement and innovation, and we loved being able to complement that with drinks and support. It was a thoughtful collaboration, and one of genuine value.

Paris Fashion Week 2024

One of our recent moments was a Paris Fashion Week pop-up, in collaboration with the e-commerce agency Not Selling Liquid. Set against the buzz of one of the world’s most dynamic fashion events where creative brand collaborations are common, this partnership allowed us to introduce Chun Café to a global audience in a uniquely curated space. We’ve shared more details in a dedicated post. Read more here

Birkenstock store opening

Known for their focus on quality craftsmanship and timeless simplicity, Birkenstock shares many of the values we hold at Chun Café. The collaboration centered around creating a calm, grounding experience for visitors. While trying on new sandals or browsing the curated space, guests could sip on a warm matcha latte or cappuccino, which reflected the earthy and honest tone of the brand. The event celebrated the opening of a new Birkenstock location in the Nine Streets, and we as neighbours were happy to be part of it.

Cowboy x UNIQLO

Cowboy focuses on smart, electric urban cycling and creates seamless, sustainable ways for people to move through the city. As part of their Cowboy Bike x UNIQLO event, which showcased UNIQLO’s winter jackets designed for urban riders, Cowboy invited the community on a special ride. During a pitstop at our Spuistraat location, Chun Café supported the experience by providing riders with freshly made drinks and our signature toasts, offering a moment to warm up and recharge. The partnership reflected a shared commitment to thoughtful design, comfort, and enhancing city life.

Looking ahead

As Chun Café continues to grow, we’re always open to collaborations that align with our values. Our pop-up events in Amsterdam and Paris allowed us to meet people where they are, literally and creatively. We’re not in a rush to grow, but we’re always open to trying things that feel right. It gives us a chance to connect, slow down, and serve something real.
